What we do:

The volunteers at KARA staff our family Research Centre. It is open five afternoons a week. The public is welcome to visit the KARA Centre. Here we teach others how to do family history research.

We publish a family history magazine. We also research, write and publish heritage books.

We complete research on a fee basis. All payments go to support KARA. We run workshops to teach seniors how to use computer genealogy programs. We run workshops about using Word documents to write a family history. We participate in local heritage events. Our commitment is amazing. The results are a great contribution to the heritage of our community.

We House a Great Collection

We need your help in the building of our library collection. Contribute a copy of your family history. Contribute old photographs or postcards. Contribute newspaper clippings. Give us your old books about local Ontario history. Contribute old school year books. We also have a small collection of city directories. It needs to grow.

KARA volunteers

We give our time, our energy, our effort, our expertise. We appreciate your support. It helps us continue our heritage work.
